New role recognizes long record of Army, USTRANSCOM, and Navy T&E and logistics program successes
TRAX International Corporation, a leading provider of test and evaluation, engineering and IT, and logistics and outsourced services to U.S. federal government agencies, today announced its Board of Directors recently promoted Brian Thompson to senior vice president. Thompson previously served as vice president of TRAX and program manager for the Mission Test Support Services contract at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG). He will continue to oversee Army programs at YPG and the Arctic Regions Test Center, lead the U.S. Transportation Command’s Aerial Delivery Services Program, and support the Navy Integrated Training Environment, or NITE, program for the U.S. Navy.
“Through his over 30 years with TRAX, Brian has been instrumental to the company’s growth and achieving many successes for both TRAX and our customers. His ability to run dynamic and very complex programs in service to our nation has earned him countless accolades for his leadership,” said Brian J. Clark, TRAX CEO and president. “This is a well-deserved promotion for Brian, and I look forward to his continued leadership and contributions.”
After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a radar technician, Thompson began his career as a technician in support of the Army’s Test and Evaluation mission at YPG. He joined TRAX in 1990 and soon developed new instrumentation systems for testing various munition and weapon components in real and simulated environments. He went on to lead the Automotive Instrumentation Support group and the development of new instrumentation systems and capabilities to meet automotive testing requirements. He also served as the Electronics Group manager and Instrumentation Operations manager while developing threat instrumentation and automation capabilities for the counter IED testing effort at YPG.
Thompson and TRAX have been leaders in defense modeling and simulation for decades and continue to advance evolving practices such as multi-domain, Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training across multiple physical locations.
